Jim Wiley
CEO and Chief Investment Strategist of the
Wiley Group
As CEO and Chief Investment Strategist of the Wiley Group, Jim
Wiley is always in search of the next 'big idea.'
An entrepreneur at heart, Jim's passion for helping clients
articulate their life plan and make financial choices to realize
their vision is what separates him from his peers.
With over 25 years in the financial services industry, Jim has
seen enough bull markets and bear markets to know how best to guide
clients so they may enjoy economic security now and in the future.
He began his career as a financial advisor at Dean Witter and later
spent over 20 years as a wealth advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith
Barney.
Now, as the head of the Wiley Group, Jim is driven to best serve
his client's financial needs, which is why the firm accepts
fiduciary responsibility as a Registered Investment Advisor.
Jim strives to provide superior communications and full
transparency in furtherance of his efforts to achieve the firm's
objective to generate consistent and sustainable return for its
clients.
Needless to say, he loves an honest conversation.
Jim is a graduate of Dickinson College and the Wharton Executive
Education Program, and holds both Series 6 and 7 licenses. A
forward thinker, Jim relishes working in synergy with other
industry leaders to address issues affecting the market. He is an
active member of Vistage International and a sponsor of CEO
IntroNet, a social network designed exclusively for CEOs and owners
of operating companies. Jim was also recently appointed as a member
of the Immaculata University Business Advisory Board in which he
lends his expertise on business development. Jim remains connected
to both Immaculata and Dickinson through a shared passion for
sustainability and entrepreneurialism, and periodically lectures on
those topics to inspire students to be forward-thinking. Dickinson
College was recently ranked by Sierra Magazine as the #2
greenest school in America for its dedication to the environment
and for infusing sustainability into all facets of college
life.
An avid runner and cyclist, Jim embraces wellness in all areas
of his life. He also serves his passion for conserving the natural
environment through ongoing personal efforts to promote
sustainability. To further this cause, Jim is an active contributor
to Dickinson College's scholarship program and works closely with
the school's leaders to generate donors in the region.
The married father of three sons is also a dedicated and
tireless member of the Caron Treatment Centers' advisory board.
Shannon Breuer
President
As President of the Wiley Group, Shannon
Breuer leads by example.
A proven and seasoned industry leader, Shannon provides our team
with tenacity and passion for advancing the Wiley Group's mission
and objectives as a registered investment advisor while promoting
revenue, profitability and growth.
Prior to joining the Wiley Group, Shannon held leadership roles
in Human Relations and Communications positions with Sunoco, Inc.
and more recently with McKnight-Kaney-Breuer LLC, a
Philadelphia-based consulting company helping leadership teams
inspire and motivate employees.
In her 29 years at Sunoco, Inc., Shannon helped navigate
volatile public perception of energy firms which included reversing
community opinion with regard to key aspects of the company's
operations. Skilled in developing cost-efficient and successful
strategic plans, Shannon is also a driver of corporate cultural
change. As the company's diversity officer, she was recognized by
Sunoco's Board of Directors as the driving force behind improving
Sunoco's diversity program.
A graduate of Marymount University, Shannon is an advocate for
business leaders through her affiliations with professional and
community organizations. She remains active with the United Way
after 20 years of service and is a current member of the Forum for
Executive Women, the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), the
Philadelphia HR Planning Society, and the International Coaching
Federation. She actively serves as a Board member of the Children's
International Summer Village and volunteers as a career services
counselor at the Women's Resource Center.
Ed Lambert III
Chartered Retirement Planning
CounselorSM, Economic Analyst
If you have retirement planning questions, Ed Lambert likely has
your answers.
A specialist in pre-retirement and early retirement planning, Ed
is also a member of the group's Investment Management Committee,
where he works to advise clients with their portfolios and
retirement strategies. As part of his dedication to careful
retirement planning, Ed also conducts and monitors investment and
retirement feasibility analyses matched to current and future
economic trends.
Ed has been with the Wiley Group for a total of seven years to
date. Prior to the Wiley Group, he worked for Morgan Stanley
Smith Barney for two years.
A graduate of Ursinus College, Ed learned the value of hard work
while working for his father's construction company as he earned
his bachelor's degree in Economics. He enjoys fishing and catching
a Philadelphia Phillies game.
Ed holds Series 7, 31 and 66 licenses.
Alex Cabot
Quantitative Analyst
Alex Cabot isn't your average Quantitative Analyst. Sure, at
times he lives and breathes numbers, but it's his scientific
background that sets him apart from the traditional "number
cruncher." This unique perspective grants Alex the uncanny ability
to interpret data and put it to work for the Wiley Group's
clients.
A valued member of our investment management committee, Alex is
responsible for portfolio management, due diligence on individual
investments, quantitative risk management and portfolio analysis
for prospective clients. In the past year, Alex has implemented
portfolio trading returns and evaluated risk in each firm's
portfolios to optimize the ratio between volatility and return.
Alex graduated from Washington University where he studied
Physics and Classical Literature. He enjoys spending time with his
family and is active in charitable work for the Shriners Hospital
for Children.
Bernadette Parrish
Chief Operations Officer, Chief Compliance
Officer
As Chief Operations Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, you
might call Bernadette Parrish the Wiley Group's jack-of-all-trades.
As a general rule of thumb, when you have a question regarding
office policy, you ask 'Bern.'
As the office renaissance women, Bern is the one responsible for
moving every critical piece of communications through The Wiley
Group. She has been instrumental in transitioning the firm to a
Registered Investment Advisor. The firm counts on Bern to
manage departmental policies & procedures, issues relating to
legal & compliance regulations, as well as all technological
and financial related issues.
Prior to joining the Wiley Group, Bern spent 13 years at Morgan
Stanley Smith Barney, where she continually proved herself, earning
the position of Branch Administrative Assistant and Corporate
Services liaison.
A true Philadelphian through and through, Bern graduated from
LaSalle College and before that, Archbishop Prendergast. She enjoys
the good things in life - friends, family, and, of course, the
beach.
Marianne Scott
Operations Manager
Those who know Marianne Scott can attest to her commitment to
providing extraordinary client service. At the Wiley Group, we are
witness to her effective management of client relationships on a
daily basis.
As Operations Manager, Marianne initiates the on boarding of new
clients and sees the account transfer process through from start to
finish. In fact, in the past year, Marianne has transitioned over
1,300 client accounts successfully - no small task by any
means.
Marianne is a seasoned industry vet with more than 30 years of
experience and held both the Series 7 and Series 63 Securities
Licenses. She honed her skills in senior client services positions
for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and UBS Financial Services prior to
joining our team.
When she's not working to satisfy our clients, Marianne enjoys
spending time at the beach with family and friends.
Joanne Grosser
Compliance & Operations Specialist
In our line of business, there are no substitutes for experience
and organization. Lucky for us, Joanne Grosser has
both. As Compliance & Operations Specialist, Joanne
assists the firm with the day-to-day compliance responsibilities to
ensure that we meet all regulatory and legal requirements.
And if that's not enough, Joanne also provides additional
assistance in supporting the firm's client and prospect marketing
communications and events, HR budgeting, licensing, contracting and
financial reporting.
Prior to joining the Wiley Group, Joanne worked as a Training
Coordinator at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where she was responsible
for the logistics and delivery of documentum training for the Great
Valley and Collegeville sites.
A graduate of Ursinus College, Joanne spends her down time
swimming, reading and volunteering with an animal rescue
facility.
Erin Searl
Client Services & Operations Specialist
As Operations Specialist, Erin's take-charge personality has
suited her well during her time at the Wiley Group.
She supports the day-to-day operational activities and helps to
ensure that all transactions are made in adherence to the firm's
policies and external regulatory requirements. A self-starter who
always takes the initiative, Erin keeps the Wiley Group on task,
seeing that client's needs are met accurately and according to
schedule.
A graduate of Kutztown University, Erin is always up for a new
adventure and enjoys traveling internationally.
Kimberly Jobson
Client Advisor
A trusted and dedicated Client Advisor since 2009, Kimberly
Jobson works as a liaison between the Wiley Group's clients and
service partners. In this role, she assists the investment and
management teams to coordinate the logistics of acquiring and
assimilating clients into firm's system.
An honors graduate of West Chester University, Kimberly is
passionate about doing service projects in developing nations
around the worlds. Her travels have taken her to exotic locales
around the world from Peru and Costa Rica all the way to Namibia on
the southwestern coast of Africa. In her down time, she volunteers
for the American Diabetes Association.
Kristin Mack
Client Advisor
Competitive by nature, Kristin Mack is never one to steer away
from a challenge. Kristin's dedication to hard work was
strengthened through her years as a three-sport athlete in high
school, and it certainly translates to her work as a Client
Advisor.
Kristin acts as a liaison between our firm's service partners
and our clients. In this role, Kristin also assists the investment
management team in welcoming new clients on board. In
addition, Kristin helps coordinate the firm's comprehensive
services.
Kristin graduated with honors from LaSalle University.
Kristin stays active in the community through efforts with
Alex's Lemonade Stand and charitable walks. Kristin also plays
softball for her neighborhood team.
