Jim Wiley, Wiley Group CEO and Chief Investment Strategist

Jim Wiley

CEO and Chief Investment Strategist of the Wiley Group

As CEO and Chief Investment Strategist of the Wiley Group, Jim Wiley is always in search of the next 'big idea.'

An entrepreneur at heart, Jim's passion for helping clients articulate their life plan and make financial choices to realize their vision is what separates him from his peers.

With over 25 years in the financial services industry, Jim has seen enough bull markets and bear markets to know how best to guide clients so they may enjoy economic security now and in the future. He began his career as a financial advisor at Dean Witter and later spent over 20 years as a wealth advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Now, as the head of the Wiley Group, Jim is driven to best serve his client's financial needs, which is why the firm accepts fiduciary responsibility as a Registered Investment Advisor.  Jim strives to provide superior communications and full transparency in furtherance of his efforts to achieve the firm's objective to generate consistent and sustainable return for its clients.

Needless to say, he loves an honest conversation.

Jim is a graduate of Dickinson College and the Wharton Executive Education Program, and holds both Series 6 and 7 licenses. A forward thinker, Jim relishes working in synergy with other industry leaders to address issues affecting the market. He is an active member of Vistage International and a sponsor of CEO IntroNet, a social network designed exclusively for CEOs and owners of operating companies. Jim was also recently appointed as a member of the Immaculata University Business Advisory Board in which he lends his expertise on business development. Jim remains connected to both Immaculata and Dickinson through a shared passion for sustainability and entrepreneurialism, and periodically lectures on those topics to inspire students to be forward-thinking. Dickinson College was recently ranked by Sierra Magazine as the #2 greenest school in America for its dedication to the environment and for infusing sustainability into all facets of college life.

An avid runner and cyclist, Jim embraces wellness in all areas of his life. He also serves his passion for conserving the natural environment through ongoing personal efforts to promote sustainability. To further this cause, Jim is an active contributor to Dickinson College's scholarship program and works closely with the school's leaders to generate donors in the region.
